The copyright page identifies the first Signet printing as April 1963 and this copy as the thirteenth printing, issued in September 1964.

CONDITION

Good. The front wrapper shows moderate edge and corner wear, rubbing, scattered surface marks, and several visible creases, including a vertical crease near the upper portion and a longer diagonal crease extending through the lower-right area. The upper-right and lower-right corners are creased and slightly curled, with additional rubbing and small areas of color loss along the bottom edge.

The rear wrapper shows age toning, light surface soiling, rubbing, edge wear, and scattered creasing. A small nick or short tear is visible at the upper-right edge. The copyright page and visible interior paper are age-toned, with occasional minor spotting or handling marks.

No signature, inscription, bookplate, or ownership marking is visible in the supplied photographs. The spine, title page, page edges, hinges, and complete interior have not been photographed and should be reviewed before publication.

No dust jacket, as issued.

COLLECTOR’S NOTE

A period 1964 American James Bond paperback retaining the original Signet D2280 number and 50-cent cover price. Although a later printing rather than the first Signet issue, it remains an appealing collectible example of Signet’s distinctive early Bond paperback design.
