CONDITION

Very Good overall.

The complete seven-volume set appears unopened and remains enclosed in vintage clear shrink wrap. The plastic wrap is substantially wrinkled and loose, with a long vertical split or tear across the front panel, additional tearing and bunching near the bottom, and scattered surface scuffs.

The illustrated slipcase shows light edge and corner wear visible beneath and through the plastic, including minor bumping and slight compression along the upper edge and corners. There is light surface soiling or discoloration to the predominantly white case.

The seven books are present and visible through the open side of the slipcase. Their white spines remain generally clean and bright, with minor shelf wear and a shallow visible crease or indentation near the lower portion of the third volume’s spine.

Because the set remains wrapped, the covers, copyright pages, interiors, bindings, page edges, signatures, inscriptions, remainder marks, and exact individual printings cannot be inspected or guaranteed. The shrink wrap appears period and the books appear unread, but factory originality of the plastic cannot be independently authenticated from photographs alone.

No dust jackets, as issued. Housed in the original illustrated slipcase.

COLLECTOR’S NOTE

An appealing vintage Collier presentation of the complete Narnia series, retaining the distinctive white-spine design, illustrated slipcase, and original publication-order numbering. The survival of the set in shrink wrap distinguishes it from the more commonly encountered opened and individually worn copies, although the damaged plastic and unverified printing statements have been reflected in the description and price.
